- Cared for a bedbound 78-year-old lady with dementia and diabetes. The elderly weighed 56kg.
- Monitored blood glucose levels.
- Administered suppository (bullet).
- Assisted in Activities of Daily Living including showering (using a commode), changing diapers (including at night), dressing, feeding, transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice-versa, turning & positioning (including at night).
- Shared a room with the elderly. Woke up at night to assist the elderly to change diapers and turn and position.
- Brought the elderly to daycare for activities on weekdays.
- Assisted in ROM exercises.
- Due to dementia,
- The elderly would forget where she had left her belongings such as handbag. Aliyah would help the elderly to find.
- The elderly would forget if she had eaten and ask to eat again. Aliyah would explain to the elderly that she had eaten and show her the empty plate. If elderly still insisted and became angry, Aliyah would give her something small to eat. She will explain to her that she cannot eat too much, lest she gets a stomach ache and she would be fine.
- The elderly would refuse to shower. Aliyah would explain to her that if she did not take a shower, she would not smell good. The elderly would then listen to her and comply.
- Prepared and served medications.
- Accompanied for medical appointments with employer.
- Performed housework, grocery shopping and cooking.
- Cared for the elderly until she passed away and returned home.

- Cared for a wheelchair-bound 70-year-old man with dementia, diabetes and left leg amputated. The elderly weighed 63kg.
- Administered suppository (bullet).
- Assisted in Activities of Daily Living including showering (using a commode), changing diapers (including at night), dressing, transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice-versa, turning & positioning (including at night).
- Shared a room with the elderly. Woke up at night to change diapers and turn and position.
- Brought the elderly out to get some sun.
- Assisted in ROM exercises. She would have to slowly coax him to do exercises as he did not like to do exercises. She would explain if he did not exercise his limbs would get stiff. She would say let me help you with this.
- Due to dementia,
- The elderly would repeat the same questions many times. The questions were usually “where are we going?”, “where are my children?”. Each time Aliyah would explain and answer the elderly patiently and calm him down. After a while, the elderly would forget and ask the same question again and Aliyah would explain to him again.
- The elderly would forget if he had eaten and ask to eat again. Aliyah would explain to the elderly that he had eaten and show him the empty plate. If the elderly still insisted, Aliyah would give him something small to eat and he would be fine.
- The elderly would refuse to shower. Aliyah would explain to him that if he did not take a shower, he would not smell good. The elderly would then comply. Sometimes the elderly would get angry, then Aliyah would wait awhile for him to calm down first.
- Served medications.
- Accompanied for medical appointments with employer.
- Performed housework and cooking.
- Cared for the elderly until he passed away 3 months before she finished. Stayed on to finish her contract and returned home.

- After 1 year, the elderly was hospitalised for 3 months for a stomach operation as he was having problems with digesting food. During the hospitalisation, Aliyah assisted in NGT Feeding, suctioning (oral) and oxygen therapy.
- Assisted in Activities of Daily Living including showering, changing diapers (including at night), dressing, feeding, transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice-versa, turning & positioning (including at night).
- Shared a room with the elderly. Woke up at night to assist the elderly to change diapers and turn and position.
