What is Levy for Domestic Helper?
When you hire a Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW), you have to pay her levy every month. Currently, the normal levy rate is $300 per month for the first domestic helper in your household and $450 per month for each subsequent helper.
What is Levy Concession? How much is the Levy Concession for Elderly Person & Persons with Disabilities?
If you stay with an elderly family member who need care and a person with disabilities, you can enjoy concessionary levy rate of $60 per month when you hire a domestic helper to care for him or her. This is subject to eligibility conditions.
Who is Eligible for Levy Concession? How to Apply for Levy Concession?
Eligible for Automatic Levy Concessions
You can enjoy automatic levy concession if your household has:
- an elderly family member who is 67 years old and above; and
- is a Singapore citizen
The levy concession will start from the elderly person's 67th birthday.

Cap on Levy Concession Per Household
The levy concession is 1 helper for 1 eligible person in the household. It is subject to a maximum of 2 helpers per household.
How Do I Find Out My Levy Fee? How do I Pay Off a Levy?
You can check and pay levy here. The levy bill is viewable from the 6th of every month. You have to log in using SingPass to view it.
