Careful Selection of Caregivers to Give You Quality Home Care

We screen and select each of our caregivers very closely. We always strive to provide you with caregivers who meet our quality standards.

With every Caregiver whom we interview, we ask ourselves if this person should care for our own parents.
We carefully select our caregivers to give you quality home care

Each candidate who applies to us undergoes a rigorous process of evaluations and interview before she is accepted.

Caregivers are screened based on their skills and experience

Skills & Experience

1-to-1 interviews and evaluations for a detailed and thorough understanding of their caregiving experience.

Caregivers need to demonstrate their caregiving knowledge or skills in areas such as transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice versa, changing diapers and more advanced care, if they had prior experience, like nasogastric tube feeding and suctioning.

Caregivers are selected based on their employment history

Employment History

Evaluation of employment history. Completed 1 or multiple contracts in nursing homes or in the elderly's home.

Various sources for verification such as their employment records in Singapore from MOM portal, arrival and departure stamps, employment certificates or employer feedback.

Caregivers are evaluated on their spoken language of Mandarin, English or Cantonese

Spoken Language

Evaluation of caregiver's ability to converse in Mandarin, English or Cantonese.

Interviews are conducted in any of these languages to test caregiver's fluency and competency levels.

We look out for attributes of patience and positive attitude towards caregiving during selection of our caregivers

Patience, Attitude towards Caregiving

Throughout the application and interview process, we continuously evaluate caregivers for patience and positive attitude towards caring for the elderly.

This is done through various sources and methods including but not limited to employment history, interview etiquette, past behaviours on how they have handled the elderly or difficult situations that may have occured at home.

We continuously screen out caregivers, filtering out caregivers whose professionalism and behaviours have fallen short of our caregiver standards.

Caregivers must pass a pre-employment medical examination to be certified as fit for work before departure

Medically Fit

Caregivers undergo a pre-employment medical examination in their home countries and are passed as fit for work.

Tests include physical examination, urinalysis, chest x-ray, pregnancy test, tests for syphilis, Malaria and HIV.

These are covered under the pre-employment medical examination for FDW as prescribed by the MOM.
